On the day, our team meet with you at site to discuss the installation process.
Our qualified installers lay down the framework and position the panels. If you have a metal tile, cement tile, ceramic tile and some commercial roofing structures you will need a special mounting frame to hold the panels off the delicate roofing material. Most other roofing materials (tar and gravel, shake, shingle, composite tile) will not need any special mounting frames.
Clean Energy Council accredited electricians wire up the system, connecting the panel arrays with the inverter, and test the output of the system.
We will have a “Permission-to-connect” prior to the installation from the relevant authorities. This just means that we are allowed to install your system on your property.
Each system gets independently appraised by accredited electricians for efficiency and electrical compliance/safety.
It is at this stage we will assist you to lodge your application for a smart meter, as an authorised electricity consumer you need to contact your electricity retailer to inform them about your newly installed solar panels and request to do a meter changeover. Since the retailer is responsible for the smart meter you are required to contact them. This will allow you to sell electricity under the feed-in-tarrif. Please note: the smart meter may incur cost, the cost will be dependent on the state you live in as well as the retailer you have opted.
