This is now the third time I’ve used Solar Secure. Each time there was a different crew doing the installation and as per the previous installations, they were as professional as the others. On behalf of Wally. Bob was our sales rep. The Alpha ESS battery system seems to work good. Saved us lots of money on power bills. It’s cheaper to use your own generated electricity then it is to sell it back to the grid with just 0.003c feed in Tarif. The battery system is also useful for power outages leaving essential power circuits running. We should have gotten a slightly bigger battery then the 13.3kw we have as we do use more electricity then the usual household. I believe the current setup would be sufficient for the usual household. My friend also has the same system from Solar Secure. Note, we added the Sun shade to the battery ourselves. This doesn’t come with the battery system.

Adam went to great lengths to explain what would be supplied and was prepared to negotiate a very good deal for us.

We had a requirement from the lender to install solar within 90 days of settlement to continue availing discounted solar interest rate on our mortgage. I dealt with Steve, and I found him very helpful. I placed a $100 deposit on a 13.3KwH solar battery around September 24, he allowed me to wait until the government solar battery rebate kicked in around mid-November, and as good as his word he stuck to the original quoted price, and I also got around $1600 off from the rebate. You can ask him for credentials in ABN's ect and he will send them to you so you know solar secure is authentic. The installers were also down to earth Aussie guys from Brisbane.

So I was a bit uncertain about whether this service would arrive and be suitable for a semi-remote country town. Steve methodically chased up all my queries, set a date for the installation and a team turned up politely and efficiently completed the install in one morning. Excited and happy to have installed Solar on our new home. Whilst I wanted a full 6.6kw on the top, I could manage to install only 5.3 kw as there were roof area constraints. I wanted to briefly highlight my observations in 3 areas. 1. Initial engagement with Solar-Secure: My contact with Steve was more than 3 months back. I had to shelve the installation due to other compelling priorities. When I picked up the conversation, I went through a few other vendors, however, Steve was equally pitching in a good deal that worked out for me. Thanks, Steve for his patience to have gone through all the details with me and help me in my decision. 2. Installation team: The team came up in the morning and did a quick measurement of the roof. I had the panels facing in 3 directions (altogether 15 of them as per initial design). However, when the actual measurement was made, the installer said they could manage only 12 panels due to limitations in the way the screw bolts were available on the roof. The team did a quick job of fixing the railings and fixing the panels, install the inverter and connect them to the grid. One observation that I have with them is the way they handle the product (solar panels), On one occasion, one of the dropped the panel face on the leaning metal ladder, before taking the panel to the roof. People have to take extra precaution while handling customer's goods. Otherwise, installers did a neat job of installing the solar panels. 3. Configuring the Wifi: This is a funny thing with GoodWe inverters. Whilst the inverter was setup successfully, I was told to go ahead and configure the wi-fi to get to see the near real-time data from my solar panels. I struggled to set up the wi-fi from SEMS portal as described in Goodwe wi-fi configuration Instruction, as shared by Solar-Secure. I thought this should be easy. Then I had a technician from Solar-Secure, who asked me to download another app called Solar Go, to configure the inverter Wi-fi and then use SEMS portal to monitor the Solar data. This was a confusing step, that I could have never got it as this was not in the instruction set at all, although Solar Go was mentioned. All the videos available on the internet were giving a similar instructions asking you to look through wi-fi settings in your mobile app - SEMS portal and connect. a. I request GoodWe to look into this anomoly and append an the instruction document with correct app to configure the wi-fi. b. Until this gap is bridged, I would suggest Solar-Secure to let the customer know prior that they would help the customer is configuring the wifi even before the customer comes back asking for help. This would demonstrate that you could go the extra mile on customer service. The technician in 2 simple steps using SolarGo app was able to configure the wi-fi. Thanks a lot!!

I had pv1 in my solar go down and rang and spoke to Chris. I've had the system for 3.5 years with no issue in the meantime. Chris promptly looked into the issue and the next day sent Proud the electrician and he had it fixed in an hour. It was one of the isolator switches which had burnt out on the roof. Elie is a fantastic operator. She is polite, articulate and prompt on organising my solar installation. She was also accomodating and helpful on my request about the installation date, solar panel configuration etc. Most of all, trust worthy and not the dodgy sales person you usually encounter. I will definitely recommend to family and friends. The only negative was the solar panels installation post work where a cracked tile was not replaced and the roof insulation sheets under the tiles were torn and not patched back up. Apart from these issues, the installation guys did an good job.

Recently I had the need to investigate the possibility of replacing my current, aging solar system due to a technical issue with the system. Having investigated extensively across the web, I settled on Solar Secure as a strong possibility for my replacement. A few years ago, I engaged Solar Secure to install a home solar panel system with a Growatt inverter at my property. Unfortunately, the Growatt inverter failed after nearly 4 years of service. I contacted Chris from Solar Secure about the problem. Chris was very quick to arrange a solar electrician to change the solar switch at my property. However, it did not work. Chris was swift to arrange the same solar electrician to install a new Growatt inverter (to replace the faulty inverter) at my property at no cost to me at all (as the inverter was still under the warranty period). I contacted a number of solar sytem providers in Nov 23. After my online enquiry, I was contacted by Steve the sales agent and techincal representative of Solar secure. Solar secure is sydney based which also was a requirement of mine. Steve answered all my questions, provided me requested comparative data, advised me on a Growatt battery and inverter package to add to my existing panel system and the price was right for me. Solar secure handled the approvals process with the energy supplier and installation occurred in early Jan 24. Installers were professional and neat and I am very pleased with this product.

I was looking into getting solar panels since I moved into my new house. I have received a few quotes and a few rejections due to the way the roof of my house is. When people quote you for solar panels they don't come to your house as they are able to do it via satellite. Due to this process I had some rejections. Others use this process and tell me that it can be done. Often the quotes are very expensive despite the rebate. This company was recommended to me by cousin who is very with their product. My cousin told they dealt with Jordan who proved to be very outstanding as the main sales man. I raised my concerns to him when I was quoted more panels than others have quoted me. He double checked everything and he got back to me saying it would work. Just as I have signed off Jordan then called me as he was just been informed that the back panels that I would not be getting the best out of it. I signed a waiver and proceeded with the installation knowing full well that I would not be getting my money back for lack of performance. On the day of the installation the contractor came and saw exactly what the situation is and told me that it would be impossible for some of the panels to be mounted on my roof as they would be hanging out on the edge. As a result I didn't go ahead with the installation and told Jordan to talk to the contractor. Jordan after having a conversation with the contractor called me and apologised for everything. He returned my deposit my deposit money in good faith and for that reason I'm giving this company a five star. My cousins are happy with their product and Jordan's professional conduct as well as the price. I will definitely will recommend this company to everyone. Thank you.

Wi-Fi connection was no longer available because of a change of router in the home due to upgrade of nbn from copper to fiber. I was not aware of the connection of Wi-Fi of the battery being connected to the home Wi-Fi. With the help of Jason I was able to reconfigure and reconnect.

Installed in a timely manner. Please inform your installers to clean up better. Nevertheless, it's still 5 stars despite the mess left behind. This is because you were $350 cheaper than Fortune Solar and $500 cheaper than Captain Green Solar for the same system.

EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM START TO FOREVER: Have dealt with Ryan for over a year, awaiting the construction of our house to be completed to enable installation of a 10.56kw solar system. I changed both the panels (Trina 415 to 24 x Jinko 440N) & the inverter (Solis to Sungrow) over the course of the year. Solar Secure matched the other best price I had received & was able to keep that for the year with a deposit of just $100. Ryan remained in contact with me throughout my build & has checked in with me since installation to see how the panels are performing. He is a great benefit to the company. The installation was seamless & the representative was very helpful, setting up & going through the app with me. The installer did advised to place the inverter in the garage instead of out in the sun by the meterbox & I agreed but it was only after the install I was informed that it was an extra $100 as the garage was 20 m from the meterbox but this was really my only complaint as I suggested the installer should have informed me that there will be an additional charge. The system is running really well & is on an app on my phone & I can see in real time what they are making & what I am using, which I find a great feature of Sungrow. I had an issue when I changed modems of the app not connecting. My call was answered immediately & then a tech support person called within 5 mins & went through the change of modems, step by step. This was a quick & seamless service. Very much appreciate it after being on hold to the bank for 45 mins only to be told I was with the wrong department...

I am very impressed by their turnaround time and I got my system up and running with 10 days of initial conversation. Their Expert Brett was very helpful and gave me a good deal. The installation crew was also very professional and they worked very quick. The system has been up and running for a couple days now without any issues so far.

I am on the 6.6kw solar system for 2 weeks by now. On average, it generates more than 25 kw electricity a day. On a sunny day, I can get more than 30kw a day, great results. Had I installed a battery system, I would have been self sufficient. The system is battery compatible. I will get that when the price becomes reasonable.
